Jazz Fest Invite

Sue Colmenares has been invited to exhibit her work at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. She will be there the last two days.

Hear the Buzz

David Wargo's streetcar was featured on the blog Streetcar Art. His design Hear the Buzz features the his sponsor, the New Orleans basketball team, The Hornets.
His streetcar can be seen at 1260 Poydras in the New Orleans Central Business District.

Products of Higher Education Art Show

Maurice Stockton is one of nine Louisiana artists featured in the "Products of Higher Education" A Group Art Show at the Louisiana State Archives in Baton Rouge, LA. The show runs June 1 - 13, 2008. The other artists in the show include: Ralph Bourque, Troy Dugas, Kenneth Fontenot, Lucius Fontenot, Colin Miller, James Porche, Travis Prejean and Reggie Rodrigue.

New Beginnings Art Gallery

Maurice Stockton is now hanging art at the New Beginnings Art Gallery located at 2124 Jefferson Highway (3rd Street) in Rivertown, LA. His work hangs opposite artist and gallery owner Christina Coleman.

A Streetcar Named Inspire

David Wargo's streetcar design for the campaign dubbed "A Streetcar Named Inspire" was accepted. The Young Leadership Council will auction off 200 fiberglass replicas of the New Orleans streetcars. The proceeds will go toward building the city's first streetcar museum. The auction will coincide with the relaunch of the full St. Charles streetcar line.
